In this piece we have used a firmer, more cord-like braided weft than in our other works. This gives the textile a slightly more airy feel while also making it more structured. The calm gradient of tones and the clear dividing line bring to mind the horizon and a shoreline landscape.

A Nohi wall textile, handmade in Finland, is a modern interpretation of the traditional rya. Its hundreds of threads create a surface that shifts with light and perspective throughout the day — at times soft and hazy, at times clear and sculptural.

The piece brings calmness, softness and a quiet sense of movement inspired by natural forms into a space. It works both as a striking focal point and as a harmonizing element in an interior, while its dense, cascading structure also helps soften the room’s acoustics.
