Nohi was born from a desire to combine softness and visual expression — a blend of design, art, and functionality, with a touch of tradition and thoughtful insight.

entrepreneurs behind Nohi
Both work full-time in marketing, though from slightly different angles. Pia has over 25 years of experience across various areas of marketing — from strategy and overarching concepts to bringing ideas into practice (valleen.fi). Noora, on the other hand, transitioned into visual design from a career in nursing and has since worked at the intersection of marketing and interior design (voimu.fi).
“We founded Muija & Tosimuija Oy together, with Nohi as its first brand. For us, Nohi is a space where ideas and thoughts are allowed to take shape. It is slow making, experimentation, and forms that emerge without haste. Nohi is our shared journey of exploration.”
Within Nohi, Noora creates the artworks, with each piece made by hand, one at a time. Pia takes care of the groundwork — ensuring that the whole remains cohesive and functional. At times the roles overlap, and both wander into each other’s territory — and it is often precisely there that something interesting emerges.
